Anti-Gravity Press

Also called Prone Incline Barbell Press
Technique
How to perform Anti-Gravity Press
- Set an incline bench and lie face down with your chest and hips supported and your feet on the floor.
- Take a pronated grip on the barbell and bring it near your upper chest to establish the starting position.
- Press the bar outward in front of your head, allowing your upper arms to move as your elbows straighten.
- Keep the reach approximately parallel to the floor and keep your chest against the pad rather than lifting your torso to move the bar.
- Let your shoulder blades move with the reach instead of holding them tightly down and back.
- Bend your elbows and bring the bar back toward your upper chest under control.
- Repeat the press from that position; the initial reverse curl is only for setup.
