Technique

How to perform Band RDL

  1. Stand on the lower part of a long loop resistance band with both feet about hip-width apart and grip the remaining loop with both hands.
  2. Stand tall with your arms straight in front of your thighs and a slight bend in your knees.
  3. Keep your back in its natural alignment and push your hips backward, letting your hands travel down close to your legs.
  4. Maintain nearly the same knee bend as you lower only as far as you can control the hip hinge without rounding your back.
  5. Drive your hips forward to stand tall against the band, keeping your arms straight and avoiding a backward lean.
  6. Repeat under control, using a grip and band length that stay within the band's intended stretch range.
