Also called Band Romanian Deadlift, Long-Loop Band RDL, Resistance Band Romanian Deadlift
Technique
How to perform Band RDL
- Stand on the lower part of a long loop resistance band with both feet about hip-width apart and grip the remaining loop with both hands.
- Stand tall with your arms straight in front of your thighs and a slight bend in your knees.
- Keep your back in its natural alignment and push your hips backward, letting your hands travel down close to your legs.
- Maintain nearly the same knee bend as you lower only as far as you can control the hip hinge without rounding your back.
- Drive your hips forward to stand tall against the band, keeping your arms straight and avoiding a backward lean.
- Repeat under control, using a grip and band length that stay within the band's intended stretch range.
