Technique

How to perform Band Reverse Lunge

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and pin the lower part of a long loop resistance band securely beneath your left foot.
  2. Hook the upper section of the loop around your shoulders with your elbows bent, hands pulling down on the band, keeping the band off your neck.
  3. Keep your left foot planted and step your right foot backward onto the ball of the foot.
  4. Bend both knees to lower under control, keeping your front knee aligned with your toes and your torso steady.
  5. Push through your left foot to stand and bring your right foot back alongside it while maintaining your grip on the band.
  6. Complete the repetitions on that side, then reposition the band under your right foot and repeat with your left foot stepping backward.
