How to perform Band Single-Arm Overhead Triceps Extension
- Place one lower leg inside a long loop resistance band and take a half-kneeling stance with that knee and shin on the floor and your other foot planted in front.
- Trap the bottom of the loop beneath your down shin so it stays anchored as you pull upward.
- With the hand on the down-knee side, grip the free loop and bring it behind the same shoulder. Bend that elbow and point it upward so your hand starts behind your head.
- Keep your upper arm beside your head, your wrist aligned with your forearm, and your torso upright.
- Straighten the working elbow to extend your arm overhead without arching your lower back or moving the upper arm.
- Bend the elbow under control to return your hand behind your head, keeping tension on the band.
- After your repetitions, lower your hand toward your shoulder and release the band's tension under control before removing your shin.
- Switch which knee is down and repeat with the other arm.
