Cable Underhand Front Raise
Technique
How to perform Cable Underhand Front Raise
- Attach a straight‑bar handle to the low pulley of a cable station and stand facing the stack with your feet hip‑width apart. Grasp the bar using a supinated (underhand) grip about shoulder‑width apart, arms fully extended so the bar rests lightly against the fronts of your thighs.
- Brace your core, draw your shoulders down and back, and keep a soft bend in your knees. This is your starting position.
- Exhale as you raise the bar straight up in front of you in a controlled arc, keeping your elbows nearly locked and palms facing the ceiling.
- Lift until the bar reaches shoulder height and your arms are roughly parallel to the floor.
- Pause briefly at the top, squeezing your front delts while maintaining a neutral spine and avoiding any hip sway or shrugging.
- Inhale as you lower the bar back to the starting position under control, stopping just before the weight stack touches to preserve tension.
- Repeat for the prescribed repetitions, keeping the movement smooth and your torso stable throughout.
