Dumbbell Incline Shoulder Raise

Also called Incline Dumbbell Serratus Punch
Technique
How to perform Dumbbell Incline Shoulder Raise
- Sit on an incline bench with a dumbbell in each hand, then bring the weights to your shoulders as you lean back against the pad.
- Position the dumbbells above your chest with your arms approximately vertical, elbows straight and palms facing toward your feet.
- Keep your torso against the bench and maintain the elbow and upper-arm position.
- Reach the dumbbells toward the ceiling by letting your shoulder blades move forward around your rib cage and lift away from the pad.
- Do not turn the reach into a shrug toward your ears, an elbow-bending press or a torso crunch.
- Lower the shoulder blades back toward the bench under control while keeping the arms extended.
