How to perform Hanging Bar Good Morning

  1. Set a barbell in a rack around stomach height and suspend it securely using either chains or suspension-trainer straps.
  2. Test the support before getting underneath the bar.
  3. Position the bar across the rear of your shoulders as you would for a low-bar squat, keep your knees slightly bent, and brace your torso.
  4. Begin near a bent-over position with a neutral spine.
  5. Exhale as you extend your hips and stand against the suspended load.
  6. Inhale as you hinge at the hips and lower under control until the support system carries the bar again.
  7. Repeat for the prescribed repetitions.
