Technique

How to perform Hip Internal Rotation Stretch

  1. Sit on the floor with one leg bent at a roughly 90-degree angle, rotating your hip inward so that your shin is angled away from your torso.
  2. Position your other leg comfortably out in front of you.
  3. Maintain an upright posture, engaging your core to help stabilize your spine.
  4. This is your starting position.
  5. Inhale as you gently lean your torso forward toward the bent, internally rotated leg, feeling a stretch in your hip and surrounding muscles.
  6. Exhale and allow your body to settle into the stretch.
  7. Avoid forcing the movement or rounding your back excessively.
  8. Hold the stretch for the recommended duration, then switch legs and repeat.
