Technique

How to perform Hurdle Hops

  1. Arrange a short line of hurdles with spacing that allows a controlled two-foot landing between them.
  2. Stand facing the first hurdle with your feet about hip-width apart.
  3. Bend through your hips and knees and swing your arms to jump forward over the hurdle from both feet.
  4. Land on both feet and allow the ankles, knees and hips to bend enough to absorb the landing.
  5. Rebound into the next jump while maintaining your direction and body control.
  6. After the last hurdle, absorb the final landing and come to a stable stop.
