How to perform Inverted Row with Straps

  1. Secure a suspension trainer or pair of rings to a suitable overhead anchor and set the handles to equal height.
  2. Hold one handle in each hand with your palms facing inward, then lean back until your straight body is close to horizontal.
  3. Support your heels on the floor; the demonstrated alternative raises them on a stable box while preserving the same straight-body row.
  4. Begin with your elbows extended and keep your hips aligned with your shoulders and heels.
  5. Bend your elbows and drive them back beside your torso, bringing your chest toward your hands as your shoulder blades move together.
  6. Lower your body under control, extending your elbows and allowing your shoulder blades to move apart without dropping your hips.
