Technique

How to perform Lateral Bound

  1. Stand with space on both sides and bend slightly at your hips and knees.
  2. Shift onto your left leg and let your right leg move inward to prepare the lateral push.
  3. Push sideways from the left foot and travel to your right.
  4. Land on the right foot, bending the hip and knee to absorb the landing and keep your balance.
  5. Rebound to the left from the right leg, using a distance you can control.
  6. Continue alternating sides while keeping each landing organized rather than chasing distance at the expense of control.
