Technique

How to perform Oblique Ab Sliders

  1. Place one slider under each foot, or place both feet on one folded towel on a floor where it slides freely.
  2. Rest both forearms on the floor with your elbows beneath your shoulders and bring your feet together.
  3. Turn your pelvis and legs toward one side while keeping both forearms planted, then extend your legs and lift your hips clear of the floor.
  4. Draw both knees inward together, sliding your feet toward your forearms as you curl your pelvis toward your ribs on the turned side.
  5. Keep the movement controlled through your abdomen while your forearms remain planted; do not push yourself forward with your hands.
  6. Slide your feet away and lengthen your legs to return to the side-on supported position without dropping your hips onto the floor.
  7. Complete the repetitions on that side, then lower your knees, reset with your pelvis turned the other way and repeat.
