How to perform One-Arm Incline Lateral Raise

  1. Set the bench backrest to an incline and lie on your side with the lower shoulder and torso supported.
  2. Hold one dumbbell in the uppermost hand, starting with the arm across the front of your body near the pelvis.
  3. Keep a small, fixed bend in the elbow and raise the upper arm away from your side in a controlled arc.
  4. Continue toward a ceiling-directed arm position without rolling the torso or turning the movement into an elbow press.
  5. Lower the dumbbell along the same arc to the starting position.
  6. Complete the set, then turn onto the other side for the opposite arm.
