Technique

How to perform Power Partials

  1. Stand upright holding a dumbbell beside each thigh, with your feet about shoulder-width apart.
  2. Keep your elbows nearly straight and maintain the same slight bend throughout the raise.
  3. Lift both arms out to the sides toward shoulder height while keeping your torso still.
  4. Keep your palms facing down, allowing the little-finger side to sit slightly higher as described in this variation.
  5. Lower both dumbbells smoothly back beside your thighs without using a body swing.
  6. Repeat the same controlled range for each repetition.
