Skater Hop

Technique

How to perform Skater Hop

  1. Stand in an athletic position with your feet about hip-width apart and your knees softly bent.
  2. Shift your weight onto one leg and dip slightly at the hip and knee.
  3. Drive laterally and land on the opposite foot, allowing the trailing leg to pass behind you without bearing weight.
  4. Absorb the landing through the hip and knee while keeping your torso controlled.
  5. Push off the landing leg and bound back to the other side.
  6. Continue alternating sides for the prescribed repetitions.
