How to perform Stability Ball Side Bend

  1. Lie sideways with a stability ball supporting the side of your waist and hip, leaving your upper torso free to bend.
  2. Extend your legs and stagger your feet on the floor so the ball remains steady.
  3. Stack your shoulders above your hips and cross your arms over your chest; do not add a weight.
  4. Allow your torso to lower sideways over the ball, then bend through the waist to lift your upper ribs toward the upper hip.
  5. Keep the movement sideways without rolling your chest toward the floor or ceiling.
  6. Lower under control and repeat, then change sides.
