Technique
How to perform Standing Elevated Quad Stretch
- Stand facing away from a stable bench or aerobic step, with room to place one foot behind you.
- Bend one knee and rest that foot on the support, using either the instep or ball of the foot as described for this setup.
- Keep the front foot planted and its knee slightly bent while bringing your torso upright.
- Keep your pelvis facing forward and gently bring the rear hip forward without substituting a large lower-back arch.
- Hold the position with the stretch in the front of the rear thigh, then lift the foot off the support and repeat on the other side.
