How to perform Standing Hamstring and Calf Stretch

  1. Loop a stretching strap, resistance band, or rope around the ball of one foot and place that foot slightly in front of you.
  2. Keep the front knee straight and bend the back knee slightly.
  3. Lift the toes of the front foot and hinge forward from the hips with a long spine.
  4. Gently pull on the strap to draw the toes toward you until you feel a stretch through the calf and hamstring.
  5. Hold for 10 to 20 seconds without bouncing, then release and repeat on the other side.
