Technique

How to perform Step-Down

  1. Stand on a stable low step with one foot near the edge.
  2. Brace the trunk and slowly bend the support knee as the free heel reaches toward the floor.
  3. Keep the pelvis level and the support knee tracking over the foot.
  4. Lightly touch the heel down without shifting weight to it, then drive through the support foot to stand.
  5. Complete all repetitions before switching sides.
