How to perform Straight-Arm Straddle Planche Press Handstand

  1. Start in a straight-arm straddle planche with hands shoulder-width apart, elbows locked, shoulders protracted and depressed, and legs wide with toes pointed behind you.
  2. Engage your core and glutes while maintaining the forward lean, then begin lifting your hips by pressing the floor away and squeezing your hip flexors.
  3. Continue to raise your legs in a wide arc, keeping them straight as your hips pass over your shoulders and your body rotates toward vertical.
  4. Bring your legs together overhead to finish in a straight handstand with elbows locked, shoulders stacked, and body tight.
  5. Reverse the motion by opening back into a straddle and leaning forward, lowering your legs in a wide arc until you return to the straight-arm straddle planche position under control.
  6. Repeat for the prescribed repetitions.
