Technique
How to perform Straight Raises on Incline Bench
- Set an incline bench so your chest is supported and your head and arms can move clear of the top.
- Lie face-down with your feet braced and hold the barbell with a shoulder-width overhand grip.
- Let the bar hang below your shoulders, keeping your elbows nearly straight at a fixed angle.
- Raise the bar forward in an arc, lifting your arms without lifting your chest off the bench.
- Stop the raise within your controlled range, then lower the bar slowly to the hanging start.
