Technique
How to perform Suspension Trainer Deep Squat Stretch
- Adjust the suspension trainer straps to full length and stand facing the anchor point, feet about shoulder-width apart. Grasp the handles with a neutral grip, arms fully extended.
- Lean back slightly, allowing your shoulders to protract and your upper back to round as the straps support your weight. This is your starting position.
- Inhale as you push your hips back and bend your knees, letting your arms glide forward so the shoulders stretch farther while maintaining the rounded upper-back position.
- Descend into a deep squat, lowering your hips below knee level and allowing your elbows to slide inside your knees to help open your hips and ankles.
- Pause briefly at the bottom, breathing deeply and keeping light tension on the straps to maintain balance and the stretch.
- Exhale as you press through your heels, extending your hips and knees to rise back up, re-rounding the shoulders and back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
