Technique

How to perform Tire Flip

  1. Use a tire that you can control and leave clear space for it to tip away from you.
  2. Set your feet behind the tire, bend at the hips and knees, and grip beneath the tread with your chest against the tire.
  3. Drive upward and forward by extending the hips and knees, then pushing through the forefeet.
  4. Keep the torso controlled and move your feet forward as the tire rises.
  5. Use a knee to assist the turnover as you step in, then move the hands from underneath to the upper surface.
  6. Extend the arms and continue forward to push the tire beyond its balance point.
  7. Let the tire settle away from you, then reset your stance and grip for the next repetition.
