Underhand EZ-Bar Front Raise
Technique
How to perform Underhand EZ-Bar Front Raise
- Stand upright with your feet hip‑width apart, holding an EZ‑bar in front of your thighs with a supinated (underhand) grip on the outer angled bends.
- Keep your arms straight but not locked.
- Brace your core, draw your shoulders down and back, and maintain a neutral spine with a slight bend in your knees.
- This is your starting position.
- Exhale as you raise the EZ‑bar straight up in front of you in a smooth arc, keeping your elbows nearly fixed and palms facing the ceiling throughout the lift.
- Continue lifting until the bar reaches shoulder height and your arms are roughly parallel to the floor, avoiding any hip swing or shoulder shrugging.
- Pause briefly at the top, squeezing your front deltoids and maintaining an upright torso.
- Inhale as you lower the bar back to the starting position under control, stopping just before it touches your thighs to keep tension, and repeat for the prescribed repetitions.
