Technique

How to perform Frog Stand

  1. Squat down and place your palms flat on the floor shoulder-width apart, fingers spread wide.
  2. Bend your elbows slightly and position your knees on the backs of your upper arms just above the elbows.
  3. Shift your weight forward, engaging your core and looking slightly ahead of your hands to keep your neck neutral.
  4. Lift one foot off the floor, then the other, balancing your shins against your triceps while pressing the floor away with your palms.
  5. Straighten your elbows as much as comfort allows and squeeze your core and glutes to hold the crow pose, keeping your back rounded slightly.
  6. Hold for the recommended duration before lowering your feet back to the floor and resting briefly.
  7. Repeat for the prescribed repetitions.
