Intermediate exercise
L-Hang
Technique
How to perform L-Hang
- Grasp a pull‑up bar or pair of rings with a shoulder‑width overhand grip and hang with your arms fully extended, shoulders depressed, and legs together beneath you.
- Engage your core and glutes to create a hollow body, keeping your lower back from arching.
- This is your starting position.
- Exhale as you raise both straight legs in front of you until they form a 90‑degree angle with your torso, creating an “L” shape.
- Keep your knees locked and toes pointed.
- Hold this L‑hang position for the recommended duration, breathing steadily while maintaining straight elbows, level hips, and a tight core.
- Inhale as you lower your legs under control back to the starting dead‑hang without swinging, then repeat for the prescribed number of holds or repetitions.
