Technique

How to perform Tuck Front Lever

  1. Grip a pull-up bar overhand at about shoulder width, or hold a pair of rings and allow a natural hand orientation.
  2. Hang with your arms straight and bring your knees close to your chest.
  3. Keep the elbows straight as you pull through the shoulders and raise your tucked body until your back is roughly horizontal and your chest faces upward.
  4. Keep the knees close and maintain active shoulder-blade control without forcing the shoulders into a maximally rounded position.
  5. Hold your hips level with your shoulders and breathe without letting the lower back arch.
  6. Lower the hips under control to the hang before placing your feet down.
