One Arm Elbow Lever Tutorial

Technique

How to perform One-Arm Straddle Elbow Lever

  1. Place the supporting palm on the floor with the fingers angled slightly outward, then bend that elbow against the side of your lower abdomen.
  2. Use your other hand and feet to help position your body while you shift your weight over the supporting palm.
  3. Extend your legs into a wide straddle, keeping the knees straight and the hips extended.
  4. Lean over the supporting hand until both feet lift, maintaining the elbow's contact with your torso.
  5. Lift the free hand and extend that arm forward and outward to balance with your body approximately parallel to the floor.
  6. Hold the position without lifting the torso away from its elbow support.
  7. Return the free hand and feet to the floor under control, then reset before another hold or changing sides.
