Ring Handstand Push-Up
Technique
How to perform Ring Handstand Push-Up
- Adjust the rings so they hang just above hip height and press into a stable support hold with elbows locked and rings turned slightly out.
- Tuck your knees and lean forward to lift your hips, straightening your legs overhead to establish a freestanding handstand on the rings with a tight hollow body.
- Engage your core and depress your shoulders, then inhale as you bend your elbows, allowing the rings to track inward while lowering your head toward the floor in a controlled motion.
- Descend until your shoulders reach ring height and your elbows are roughly 90 degrees or deeper, maintaining wrist neutrality and full-body tension.
- Exhale as you press through the rings, extending your elbows and turning the rings slightly out to return to the fully locked-out handstand position.
- Repeat for the prescribed repetitions.
