Technique

How to perform Ring Planche Push-Up

  1. Grip the rings with a false grip and press into a straight-arm planche, turning the rings slightly out while keeping your body horizontal and elbows locked.
  2. Protract and depress your shoulders, engaging your core and glutes to maintain a rigid hollow line with hips level to shoulders.
  3. Inhale as you bend your elbows, lowering your chest toward the rings in a slow, controlled motion without allowing the rings to drift inward.
  4. Continue descending until your upper arms are roughly parallel to the floor, keeping legs straight and body tension constant.
  5. Exhale as you press firmly through the rings, extending your elbows to return to the straight-arm planche position with rings turned out.
  6. Repeat for the prescribed repetitions.
