Technique

How to perform Ring Push-Up

  1. Set the rings low enough for a push-up and take a neutral grip with one hand on each ring.
  2. Walk your feet back into a plank with feet about hip-width apart and shoulders above your hands.
  3. Bend your elbows to lower your chest between the rings, keeping your trunk straight and the rings controlled beside your torso.
  4. Lower toward a right angle at the elbows without letting the rings drift widely apart.
  5. Press through both rings to straighten your elbows, allowing your hands to return toward their starting position.
  6. Repeat without dropping your hips or placing weight on your knees.
