Technique

How to perform RTO Archer Push-Up

  1. Adjust the rings to just above floor height and turn both handles outward so your palms face forward when gripping.
  2. Set up in a straight-body plank on the rings with elbows locked, shoulders depressed, and feet slightly wider than hip width.
  3. Shift your weight toward your right hand while sliding the left ring farther out, keeping the left arm straight and the rings turned out.
  4. Inhale as you bend your right elbow, lowering your chest toward the right ring while maintaining a rigid body line and keeping the left arm extended.
  5. Exhale as you press through your right palm, straightening the elbow and bringing your torso back to center while keeping the rings turned out.
  6. Repeat the movement on the left side and continue alternating for the prescribed repetitions.
