Technique

How to perform RTO Pseudo-Planche Push-Up

  1. Adjust the rings so they hang just above the floor and turn the handles fully outward so your palms face forward.
  2. Grip the rings, straighten your arms, and walk your feet back into a high plank while leaning your shoulders forward past your wrists as far as you can control.
  3. Brace your core, squeeze your glutes and quads, and maintain the forward lean to create a pseudo-planche position with the rings turned out.
  4. Inhale as you bend your elbows, allowing the rings to drift apart slightly while lowering your chest toward the rings under control.
  5. Exhale as you press through your palms, turning the rings out and straightening your elbows to return to the forward-lean plank.
  6. Repeat for the prescribed repetitions.
