RTO Maltese Push-Up
Technique
How to perform RTO Maltese Push-Up
- Grip the rings just above floor level and turn them fully outward so your palms face forward, elbows locked, and shoulders leaning forward past your wrists as far as you can control in an RTO pseudo-planche position.
- Inhale as you bend your elbows and allow the rings to slide farther apart, lowering your chest past the level of the rings while maintaining a rigid, forward-leaning body line.
- Continue descending until your arms reach a fully extended Maltese position with hands at hip level and chest lightly hovering above or brushing the floor.
- Exhale as you engage your chest, shoulders, and lats to pull and press the rings inward and upward, returning your body through the same path to the RTO pseudo-planche starting position.
- Repeat for the prescribed repetitions.
