Technique

How to perform RTO Wall Pseudo-Planche Push-Up

  1. Grip rings shoulder-width apart just above floor a little less than your body-length from the wall, palms turned outward and elbows locked.
  2. Walk your feet up the wall until your body forms a straight line, then lean your shoulders forward past your wrists to create a pseudo-planche position.
  3. Engage your core, glutes, and quads, keeping your elbows fully locked and shoulders depressed.
  4. Inhale as you bend your elbows, lowering your chest toward the floor in a controlled motion while maintaining the forward lean, turned-out palms, and rigid body line.
  5. Exhale as you press through your palms, straightening your elbows and driving your torso back up to the original forward-lean position with feet still on the wall.
  6. Repeat for the prescribed repetitions.
