Technique

How to perform Straight Leg Ab Roller

  1. Stand with the ab wheel on the floor close in front of your feet and take both handles.
  2. Keep your elbows extended and brace your trunk as you begin rolling forward from the folded start.
  3. Allow your hips to open as your body lengthens, keeping control of your ribs and pelvis rather than letting your lower back sag.
  4. Roll only as far as you can control while your body stays clear of the floor.
  5. Pull the wheel back toward your feet and return to the folded standing start without dropping to your knees.
  6. Repeat with a controlled outward phase and return.
