Technique

How to perform Tuck Maltese Box Press

  1. Place to boxes side-by-side with a gap between them.
  2. The gap should be just wide enough for your hips to fall through and narrow enough for your shoulders to rest on top of each box.
  3. Place your arms straight, palms-down, supinated, on top of each box.
  4. Keeping your arms straight, press through your shoulders to lift your body off the ground.
  5. Pull your knees tightly to your chest to acheive a tight tuck position.
  6. Press further through your shoulders and straight arms to raise your hips up over your head, maintaining your body position.
  7. Once your are vertical, reverse the motion and lower your hips back down.
