Tuck Press Handstand
Technique
How to perform Tuck Press Handstand
- Place your hands shoulder-width apart on the floor with fingers spread and arms straight.
- Shift your weight forward over your wrists while bending your knees and lifting your heels to hover off the ground.
- Engage your core and push the floor away as you tuck your knees tightly to your chest, allowing your hips to rise without jumping.
- Continue pressing through your shoulders and straightening your arms to float your hips over your wrists while maintaining the tight tuck.
- Straighten your hips and knees together to extend into a full handstand with legs locked and toes pointed.
- Hold the handstand for the prescribed duration, then reverse the motion by tucking your knees and lowering your hips back to the start position under control.
