Straddle Press Handstand
Technique
How to perform Straddle Press Handstand
- Place your hands shoulder-width apart on the floor with fingers spread and arms locked.
- Lean your shoulders forward over your wrists as you open your legs into a wide straddle, hips slightly bent.
- Engage your core and press the floor away, lifting your feet while maintaining the straddle and allowing your hips to rise without jumping.
- Straighten your hips as you continue pressing, floating your legs upward in a wide arc until they stack over your shoulders and wrists.
- Bring your legs together at the top to achieve a straight handstand, keeping your body tight and shoulders depressed.
- Lower under control or step down after holding for the prescribed time.
