How to perform Wall Headstand

  1. Kneel facing away from a wall about one foot away. Interlace your fingers and place the crown of your head on the floor, cupping the back of your skull with your hands and keeping your elbows wide to form a stable triangular base. Tuck your toes under, engage your core, and press firmly through your forearms and head to lift your hips.
  2. Lift one foot off the ground and bring your knees toward your chest, maintaining tension through your core and glutes.
  3. Keep your head and forearms firmly planted.
  4. Slowly straighten both legs and kick gently up toward the wall, allowing your heels to find and rest against it.
  5. Use the wall as a safety net, but do not rely on it for balance. Once both legs are up, press through your shoulders and forearms, squeezing your core and glutes to hold your body in a straight line at the wall. To exit, slowly bend your knees back toward your chest, lower one foot then the other, and gently come back down to your knees before releasing your hands and sitting back.
