90 degree V Sit
Technique
How to perform 90 degree V Sit
- Sit on the floor with your legs extended straight in front of you and hands placed beside your hips, fingers pointing forward.
- Press your palms firmly into the ground, depress your shoulders, and engage your core and hip flexors.
- Exhale as you straighten your elbows and lift your hips and heels off the floor simultaneously, keeping your legs locked and toes pointed.
- Raise your legs until they form roughly a 45‑degree angle above the floor while keeping your torso upright, creating a shallow “V” shape between your trunk and thighs.
- Hold the 90‑degree V‑sit position - hips in line with hands and legs elevated - maintaining steady breathing, a neutral neck, and strong core tension.
- Lower your hips and heels gently back to the floor under control to return to the starting position.
- Repeat for the recommended number of holds or the prescribed time.
