Technique

How to perform Deficit Wall Handstand Push-Up

  1. Place a set of parallettes in front of a wall. With your chest to the wall bend at the waist and place both hands on the parallettes at shoulder width.
  2. Kick yourself up against the wall with your arms straight. Your body should be upside down with the arms and legs fully extended.
  3. Keep your whole body as straight as possible. Also, make sure that you keep your head neutral, rather than looking at the floor.
  4. Slowly lower yourself to the down between the parallettes as you inhale until your head almost touches the floor.
  5. Lower slowly and maintain control throughout the descent.
  6. Push yourself back up slowly as you exhale until your elbows are nearly locked.
  7. Repeat for the prescribed repetitions.
