Technique

How to perform Ring Straddle Planche Push-Up

  1. Grip the rings with a false grip and press into a straight-arm straddle planche with legs wide, elbows locked, rings turned slightly out, and shoulders protracted and depressed.
  2. Engage your core and glutes to keep your hips level with your shoulders while maintaining a rigid hollow body.
  3. Inhale as you bend your elbows, lowering your chest toward the rings in a controlled motion without letting the rings drift inward or the straddle close.
  4. Descend until your upper arms approach parallel to the floor, keeping legs straight and hips aligned.
  5. Exhale as you press through the rings, extending your elbows to return to the straight-arm straddle planche position.
  6. Repeat for the prescribed repetitions.
