Technique

How to perform Roman Chair Leg Raises

  1. Place your forearms on the pads, grip the handles, and press your back flat against the back pad.
  2. The legs should be straight down with the pelvis rolled slightly backwards.
  3. This will be your starting position.
  4. Raise your legs until your hips slightly lift off from the bottom of the back pad.
  5. Exhale as you perform this movement and hold the contraction for a second or so.
  6. Go back slowly to the starting position as you breathe in.
  7. Repeat for the prescribed repetitions.
