Technique

How to perform Decline Pike Push-Up

  1. Place your hands shoulder-width apart on the floor with fingers spread and arms straight.
  2. Elevate your feet on a stable surface such as a box so your hips rise and your body forms an inverted “V,”.
  3. Engage your core and keep your legs straight, stacking your hips over your shoulders while maintaining a neutral neck and elbows locked.
  4. Inhale as you bend your elbows, lowering the crown of your head toward the floor in a controlled motion while keeping your hips high and shoulders over wrists.
  5. Exhale as you press through your palms, extending your elbows and driving your head and torso back up to the starting pike position.
  6. Repeat for the prescribed repetitions.
